On Monday, November 22, the Coalition for a democratic Pacifica unanimously passed the following motion:

"Because of Bill Mandel's expertise on Russia and the states of the former Soviet Union, and because of the momentous developments in Russia, Central Asia and China, the Co-ordinating Committee of the Coalition for a democratic Pacifica supports the continuation of Bill Mandel's program. It is critical that people be educated in this area, and that Bill Mandel use his program to educate KPFA listeners about these events."
